I do not know which investment products I should choose. Can you recommend any good products?

No. It is prohibited by laws and regulations for a plan administrator or plan sponsor to recommend specific investment products to DC pension participants. You must select products based on you own judgment.

If you participate in our DC pension, please take a look at the information materials ("Starter Kit") provided by your plan administrator at the time of your enrollment, as well as "About Investing" on our website. You will find basic approaches to the selection of investment products, and other relevant information. If you have any questions about the description of our investment products, please avail yourself of our AnswerCenter (call center) services.

What if I do not provide any investment instructions?

It varies as follows:

(1)Corporate-type DC Pension Plan
Your assets will be managed in cash as uninstructed individual assets and can not be invested.

① If the designated investment product is prescribed in the plan document

In cases you fail to designate allocation ratios during the instruction period and extension period, your assets will be invested in the designated investment product. In such cases, you are deemed to have designated allocation ratios (provided investment instructions) to purchase the designated investment product.
The participant can change investment products by providing investment instructions at any time after the designated investment product is purchased.

② If the designated investment product is not prescribed in the plan document

Your assets will be managed in cash and can not be invested until allocation ratios are designated, so no investment gains will be expected (No interest, etc., will be applied as well). Please make sure to provide investment instructions.

(2)Individual-type DC Pension Plan

The participant is required to designate allocation ratios at the time of enrollment and rollover procedures. In cases allocation ratios are not specified on the application form, such form will be returned to the participant as an insufficient document.

What differences are there between asset allocation instructions and switching products?

If you change asset allocations, the changes will be reflected in the investment products to be purchased starting with your next monthly contribution. However, no change will occur to any products you have already purchased.

If you switch products, the transactions will affect only the products you have purchased in the past and will not affect the products purchased in the future with monthly contributions.

How often can I switch investment products?

Relevant laws and regulations stipulate that you should be allowed to switch investment products at least once every three months. Our DC pensions allows you to switch investment products at any time. Please use our AnswerNet (online services) and AnswerCenter (call center) if you participate in our DC pensions.

Are any switching fees charged?

No fees are charged for switching investment products.
However, some fees may be deducted from the amount of your proceeds from the sale or purchase of certain investment products. These fees vary among the investment products.

How many days does it take for the transaction of switching investment products to be completed?

Around 10 days for the entire transaction, as the process encompasses the sale of investment products currently held in your portfolio, as well as the purchase of other investment products with the proceeds from the sales.

Can I invest in any investment products that are not listed in the DC pension plan that I participate?

No. You cannot invest in any investment products that are not selected or provided by a plan administrator. Participants can only choose products from among those selected or provided by a plan administrator.
